ABOUT IMPERIAL AIRWAYS
No airline has ever evoked so much interest and admiration artistically as well as strategically, than Imperial Airways. The company formed the foundation and bedrock of British commercial long range air transport history and operated from 1924 to 1939 and served Europe via British Empire routes to South Africa, India and the Far East (later including Malaya and Hong Kong).
